What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of 85 components found (so far) in the plant Cannabis Sativa, predominantly in the Hemp species.
What are the effects of CBD?
CBD is non-intoxicating and interacts with the body through the endocannabinoid system. CBD can affect such functions as mood, sleep, metabolism, hormone regulation, pain, and inflammation responses.
What is the endocannabinoid system?
Discovered in the 1980s, the endocannabinoid system is found in all mammals. The system is made up of millions of cannabinoid receptor sites. These receptor sites are located primarily in the brain and nervous system (CB1 receptors) and the immune system (CB2 receptors). The endocannabinoid system regulates the body’s state of balance - also known as homeostasis.
How much CBD oil should be taken?
The appropriate dosage of CBD oil will depend on the person/animal and the condition being treated.
We recommend using 1 drop per 10 pounds of body weight, once or twice a day to start.
Start with a low dose and work your way up until you achieve your desired state.
When starting any new supplementation, always consult with your physician or veterinarian.
